THE ONE (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a daily question game. This policy explains what data the app handles. The app is built to collect as little as possible.
On your device (local storage): your game progress — answers, hidden trait scores, streak, titles, and your auto-generated codename. This stays on your device.
On our server (Supabase), only when you are online, the app creates an anonymous session and stores:
This data is used solely to run the worldwide leaderboard and your profile. It is never sold, shared, or used for advertising.
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The app contains general moral / ethical reflection questions intended for a general audience.
Because the data is anonymous, it is not linked to you personally. You can remove your data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it (removes local data), and by requesting deletion of your server record via the contact below. Our database enforces that each player can only read or delete their own record.
Access is restricted by Row Level Security: each anonymous user can only read and write their own record. The public leaderboard exposes only codename, country, and a composite score — never your individual answers or trait breakdown (“the criteria” stay secret by design).
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
