LIFE IS

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

Life is is a private, one-sentence diary. Your writing is yours. This policy explains how the app handles it.

Information we collect

Life is does not collect personal information, create user accounts, or use analytics tools. Diary entries, selected moods, appearance settings, and reminder preferences are stored locally on your device and are never sent to the developer.

How your information is used

Your entries are used only inside the app to show your diary, emotional reflections, weekly summaries, and optional local notifications. This information is not sent to the developer or to third parties.

Advertising

Life is is free and is supported by ads. For the first 14 days after you install it, the app shows no ads at all and does not load Google’s advertising software. From day 15, the app displays a banner above the navigation bar and, occasionally, a full-screen ad when you switch between Today, Year and Archive.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. To serve them, AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier, general device information, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with the ads. This is described in Google’s privacy notice.

Your diary is not part of this. What you write, the moods you pick and the dates you wrote on are never sent to Google or to any advertiser, and are never used to choose which ads you see.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can decline. On iOS you will separately be asked whether the app may track you; if you say no, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised.

Backups and sharing

When you choose Export a backup or Share, the app creates a file or image on your device and hands it to the destination you choose. Life is does not upload a backup automatically. You are responsible for keeping exported files secure.

Notifications

Notifications are optional. If enabled, they are scheduled locally on your device. You can turn them off at any time in the app settings or your device settings.

Your choices

Children

Life is does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
